For another year, the National Competition “Young Talents in Fashion” was held (April 13 – 15, 2022), and this year’s theme was “Past in the future”.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Education and Science in partnership with the National Association of Fashion Schools “Rositsa Ivanova”, the Bulgarian Association of Textiles, Clothing and Leather and Gotse Delchev Municipality.
The host of the competition this year was the Nevrokop Vocational High School “Dimitar Talev” in Gotse Delchev. I The students competed in three categories – fashion show, art sketch and dexterous hands. Honorary Chairman of the jury of the competition was the Executive Director of BATOK – Jordan Belovodski.
The Association of Bulgarian Fashion Designers and Associate Member of BATOK was represented by Iren Velkovski – Chairman of the Association. The team of the Princess Maria Louisa Vocational School of Clothing in Sofia received an award for overall performance in the national student competition “Young Talents in Fashion”.
The team impressed the jury and the audience with its model “Past into the future”, inspired by the memories sealed on the film and the new digital world. A suitcase of time, full of photos from the school archives, has been recreated..recreated as an outer garment. The photos are transferred as a pattern on a dress with scenes from the suitcase.
I ABMD recognized its favorite in the face of PGD “Elisaveta Vazova” Sofia The high school team presented itself with an extremely creative and beautiful vision and deservedly won the award of the Association of Bulgarian Fashion Designers – a two-day training in the boutique studio of the brand Maison Estrella.
During the ceremony, the Association and personally Mrs. Iren Velkovski were awarded a plaque for contribution to vocational education, presented by Mrs. Fani Todorova – a representative of the Ministry of Education and Science.
